A form of soft tissue mobilization similar to Graston technique; it's often called "scraping." IASTM utilizes a stainless steel instrument along the skin to help break up scar tissue or fascial adhesions around a muscle. With this treatment, the patient is often moving within a specific movement pattern or range of motion while the treatment is applied.
